For several years, I’ve worked as an ongoing design partner for Global Insight Conferences (GIC), supporting their busy events team with branding and publications across a wide range of business conferences.
GIC runs multiple one-day events each month across the UK and the Netherlands, spanning industries such as pharmaceuticals, food & drink, beauty, finance, technology, retail and more. Each event brings together senior leaders and speakers from well-known global brands, requiring clear, professional, and well-structured design collateral to support promotion and delivery.

The Challenge

With numerous events running throughout the year, GIC needed a design partner who could:
  • Create distinct branding for each conference while maintaining overall consistency
  • Work quickly to meet tight and frequently changing deadlines
  • Support both print and digital outputs as event details evolved
  • Integrate smoothly with their internal events and marketing team

My Approach

Working closely with GIC’s co-founder and events team, I provide end-to-end design support across the full event lifecycle.
Each project typically begins with establishing a clear event brand identity, starting with the logo. From there, I develop the supporting visual system — colour palette, typography and iconography — ensuring the branding reflects both the industry and the target audience.
Once the core identity is in place, I design the agenda brochure, the central piece of collateral for each event. These brochures communicate the structure of the day, key topics, speakers and sponsors, and are designed to be easily updated as agendas evolve.
As event details change, brochure content is regularly adapted for:
  • Website graphics
  • Social media assets
  • Email marketing
  • Sponsorship brochures
This approach allows GIC to maintain consistency across all touchpoints while responding quickly to last-minute updates.
