The Rural Architect

The Rural Architect

Suzi Wong from Grey Rose Architects recommended us to a friend of hers, Rebecca Deane, who was going to set up her own architectural firm called The Rural Architect. Based in Norfolk, Rebecca’s new practice will specialise in barn conversions, extensions, refurbishments and new builds. She wanted the Logo to attract farmers, using very rural imagery. Rebecca also had a keen interest in bees, so she also wanted us to explore that idea too. We got to work, with most of our designs incorporating wooden barns, and timber structures. Rebecca was very interested in looking at the timber frame idea, so we developed that further, adding an extension and contrasting the two colours, blue and yellow. She finally settled on just the structural frame, so we got rid of the extension, and kept the contrasting colours idea - keeping the artwork white, the background in blue, and the lettering in yellow. Rebecca will be launching her new practice soon, so make sure you check her out here!
